Dobbel Dungeon is designed to be a more ‘approachable’ take on the Tactical RPG genre, featuring cute 3D graphics, easy-to-understand mechanics and a heavy emphasis on input randomness. In Dobbel Dungeon, combat is handled by rolling dice at the start of your turn and then deciding how you want to assign those dice to your various actions. Most actions’ output / effects are based on the value of the dice you provide as input. Once you know the input, you know the output, and you can use that to carefully plan around the dice you roll each turn.

Eloquence

Learn a fully functional symbol language by interacting with different cultures that settled on an active volcano. Collect and speak back phrases and words you may not immediately understand, and discover that language is an expression of humanity. Can you save the islanders from the imminent eruption? You can collect any phrase spoken by an islander and store it in your inventory. Some symbols you might understand. Others you will not. You can then speak back your collected phrases to other islanders. How they respond to you will teach you the meaning of the phrase you just repeated.

The game blends time travel with a character-driven story, where players use a Future Camera, which’ viewfinder reveals and shapes the future to help Emma navigate her life choices and aspirations.

Laptitude - The Curious Cases

The Curious Cases use the custom Laptitude hardware – laparoscopic instruments that connect to a computer or smartphone to train surgeons in core laparoscopic surgery skills. A series of mini-games build up through an adaptive learning journey to the summit skill- stitching (suturing) and knot tying. The games set the player on a journey around the world to solve Curious Cases – each of which train specific granular and component skills that match the requirements of the validated Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery test. The games train 2D perception of 3D space, dexterity and manipulation, bimanual dexterity and situational awareness. The games enable players to build up to complex skills by mastering each of the sub-skills. The games are short (3 minutes), intense with increasing game play requirements as players have their skills tested at a level appropriate to them and are visually completely different to real world surgery or surgical simulation. The analogization of skills to a completely separate environment allows players to focus on the skill. Laptitude is undergoing validation with the Radboud University Medical Centre and data from the first studies show effective skill transfer to physical surgical simulators.
