CLAWPUNK

CLAWPUNK is a challenging, fast-paced, melee-action 2D platformer with rogue-lite elements and multiple characters, where the player can run rampant in a destructible environment that rewards a reactive and aggressive play style. It is inspired by non-stop, “push-forward” gameplay, as seen in the recent DOOM games that reward players with more destructive abilities whilst punishing them for playing too cautiously.

The game features nine playable cat characters, each with nine lives, different base stats, a primary weapon, and reusable special attacks with cooldowns attached to player performance (i.e. the combo counter).

Players are actively encouraged to save their preferred characters for different parts of a run as they experiment with them. The game’s combat revolves primarily around using each character’s melee weapon, thus requiring the player to get up close to foes.
